Today, I purchased shares of Qualcomm and UPS and immediately sold Apr-16 calls on both stocks. The QCOM calls are OTM and the UPS calls are barely ITM. For both companies, the next earnings report will be released after the call expiry date so there is no risk of an earnings surprise.
